Reviewing Completed Surveys (for Admins)

There are multiple ways to review Survey activity and input in GideonSoft, starting on the Surveys page.

 

History

To view survey activity/input history (draft and completed sessions), and make any changes (if necessary), go to the Surveys screen and select “History”:

  • You can search Surveys by typing in the “Search” box, and the list of surveys will automatically filter down accordingly.
  • You can sort the list of Surveys by clicking the up/down arrows next to each column heading.
  • Administrators are able to select “Shadow someone else…” to choose the individual whose history you’d like to view. All surveys completed by anyone will be displayed.

The history will show you:

  • Survey name
  • Target (Person/Role/Team) of the survey
  • Timestamp when the survey was last viewed/saved
  • Progress
  • Status (whether all required questions have been answered)
  • There’s also an icon linking to the Analysis Report page.

 

To edit a survey, click the survey name, or the pencil icon.

To view a Survey Report, click the chart/report icon.

To delete a survey, click the X.

 

 

Analytics

To quickly view responses to a completed survey in summarized form (from the Surveys screen) select “Analytics”. This is a good source for quality assurance of survey usage/traffic as well as some basic summary performance information, but for more thorough analysis of performance data (such as results across multiple surveys), refer to the Data or Reports sections of GideonSoft.

Select a survey to view response data. There are two views to choose from.

 

Summary … this view summarizes responses in some logical way:

  • Display an average of all ratings for each question (the darker the bar the higher the average rating)
  • List all comments made
  • Display a pie chart breakdown of responses
  • Etc.

Detail … select an individual session from all available completed sessions to view the responses given in that survey.

 

Survey Activity Report

Another option available to Overseers (and above) for quality assurance purposes is to view a printable report of survey activity.

  • From the Instance homepage, select “Settings” … “Activity and Configuration”
  • Click “Activity – Survey Input”. This opens a report tab/window.
  • Select the desired time frame and then “View Report”.
  • A list of all completed surveys is displayed. You can export to PDF by using the save disk icon, or you can print.
