Instance Settings
From the Instance home page, click on the Settings button.
The first option is the Instance name. This should clearly identify the measurement period taking place (e.g. “2021-2022” or “Fall 2021”).
The next main option is the Instance status (either open or closed). As long as an Instance is open, data can be collected and edited. If you close an Instance, you will no longer be able to collect or edit data, but you can run reports and view/export data. You will also be asked a few questions. You can click on the bold blue text for additional options regarding each question…
- Move Statistics into the template – this moves statistical data to the module, which enables comparison across instances (i.e. “population”)
- Update any Status Assignments – this updates people who may have graduated, for example
- Enter any Score Variable notes to explain data outliers – you may need to capture context or thoughts regarding variables for research/historical purposes
Tools
- Scheduler … This tool allows you to manage the scheduling of items within this Instance. See Measurement Model – Scheduler
- Instance Builder … Use this tool to complete the configuration of your Instance. See Module/Instance Builder
- Auto-Instance Settings … Use this tool to automate the creation of future Instances. See Auto Instance Settings
- Role Configuration … Roles let you organize your people based on who they are in your organization, and what they should be able to do in this app. See Creating Roles
- Instance Objects … If you need to assess something other than a person (e.g. provide feedback on an Instance or a group of people as a whole) then you can create or edit those objects here. See Instance Settings – Objects
- Profile Visualization Settings … Use these settings to control the profile page visualizations for this particular Instance. See Instance Settings – Profile Visualization
- Model Builder … Design the model as well as the progress report that will show on the profile page for this Instance. See Measurement Model – Model Builder
- Home Page Customization … Use these settings to control the home page for this particular Instance. See Instance Settings – Home Page Customization
- Manage Task Queue … This tool lets you view and adjust background processes. See Instance Settings – Manage Task Queue
- Activity and Configuration … You can view information here to find out about how people are currently using this app, as well as insights into how this app is currently configured. See Instance Settings – Activity and Configuration
Feedback Tool
- Content Library … The Content Library is used as a feedback counseling tool and contains common feedback statements to assist evaluators in the assessment process. See Feedback-Configuring Content Library
- Content Categories … Feedback is organized into categories that help evaluators select the most appropriate content. This tool lets you create and edit the categories used to organize your feedback. See Feedback-Configuring Content Categories
- Content Rules … This tool lets you create rules that will display specific feedback based on the criteria you set. See Feedback-Configuring Content Rules
