Measurement Model – Scheduler

With the Scheduler, you can manually turn Surveys, Events (Behavior Observations) and Reports on or off. You can also schedule the Survey, Event or Report to automatically become available for a certain date range. This feature is important when multiple instances will occur in a calendar year but the schedule is fixed.

There are two ways to access the Scheduler from the Instance homepage:

  • Click the “Schedule” icon. Select “Scheduler” from the grey tabs at the top.
  • Click the “Settings” button. Under Tools, there are a few options to manage an active Instance. Select “Scheduler”.

Once you’re on the Scheduler page:

  • You are able to preview surveys by clicking on the survey name.
  • To make a survey or event active or “Visible,” click on the gray eye icon. The eye icon should now be green for that survey.
  • To make a survey or event “Inactive,” click on the green eye icon. The eye icon should now be gray.
  • You can set surveys and events to activate and deactivate based on selected dates, by clicking on the calendar icons in the Start and End columns. (you can schedule only a start date or end date as well, leaving availability ‘open-ended’).
    • Any survey or observation event that is scheduled will display a notification that it has been turned on or off.
    • A benefit of setting a start date for a Survey, Event or Report is that they will appear on users’ timelines when they first sign in to GideonSoft, via the web or mobile app.
    • If a Survey, Event or Report is activated, but no start date is specified, it will not appear on the timeline.

Users with appropriate permissions can also set Surveys, Observation Events and Reports to activate and deactivate by working with those features in Design mode.

  • This approach is based on a number of days from the Instance’s start date.
  • Using this strategy, if Instances have a consistent schedule, Surveys, Events and Reports can be configured at the Module level, and then the Instance Start Date is all that’s needed to begin triggering Events to turn on or off.
