Goal Library

The Goal Library allows GideonSoft users to select and add Goals to their profile from a collection of existing Goals.

Managing the Goal Library

The Goal Library is available at the Organization and Module levels (in Settings…, under “Tools”), and requires Overseer (or above) permissions to access. You can add goals to the library directly from the library page OR add them from your own profile.

Adding a New Goal

  • Name your goal
  • Describe your goal … Maybe state why you want to achieve it.
  • What would you like to record? … select one:
    • Number … additional details:
      • Units (or decimal places)
      • Unit label (e.g. pounds, inches, etc)
      • Target goal (value)
      • Starting value (optional) … if no value is entered here, the first entry recorded for the Goal will be used as the starting value (or baseline value)
      • Direction… identify whether Lower or Higher values are better.
    • Time … additional details:
    • Yes or No
  • What type of goal is this? … or, how do you anticipate progress will take place? This response is factored into the progress calculation, and can help your perception of how you’re doing along the way. Select one:
    • Consistent improvement
    • Easy to Hard … easier at first / more difficult towards the end
    • Hard to Easy … more difficult at first / easier towards the end
  • Add to Module (optional) …
    • Goals with a specified Module are only available to users within that Module.
    • Goals not designated for a specific Module are available to any user in the Organization.
  • Next goal (optional) … This provides a suggested next goal. Once a goal has been marked completed, the user will be prompted to add the next Linked Goal to their library.
  • Click Next.

          • If Weekly, should it be displayed as a Total or Average number?
          • For example, you may want to complete 1000 pushups in a week, as opposed to 200 per day.
        • When do you aim to achieve this action item? Select a target date.
