Performance Module – Tool Options

If the Performance Module type is selected, the following Tool settings are available.

 

Tools

These options define or enable various functions across all Instances.

  • Scheduler … Schedule the timing of Survey and Event availability. This feature is important when multiple Instances will occur in a calendar year and the schedule is fixed. See Measurement Model – Scheduler
  • Module Builder … Use this tool to complete the configuration of your Module. See Module/Instance Builder
  • Auto-Instance Settings … Use this tool to set the default settings to automate the creation of future Instances. (See Auto-Instance Settings )
  • Quick Link Settings …Use this tool to set the default settings for the quick links toolbar within this Module. (See Using GideonSoft (Quick Links) )
  • Import a backup … This lets you import all the necessary data to recreate an Instance.
    • This requires the same version of GideonSoft for the source file as the installation you’re attempting to import into.
    • Click “Import a backup”.
    • Drag and drop the backup file you wish to import onto the “Drop files here to upload” box.
    • Once the import completes, you can then navigate to the newly created Instance.
  • Export a backup … This saves all the data from an Instance so you can load it into a new Instance.
    • This saves to a .gd file. It may be helpful to include the GideonSoft version number when naming the export file.
    • Click “Export a backup”.
    • From the drop down, select which Instance to export.
    • Click the blue “Export Backup” button.
    • You will be prompted to save the file. Once saved, you can now import that Instance into another GideonSoft installation.
  • Instance Objects … Objects are anything that you want to evaluate that is not an individual person. See Instance Settings – Objects.
  • Profile Visualization Settings … see Settings – Profile Visualization.
  • Model Builder … see Measurement Model – Model Builder.
  • Manage Goal Library … see Manage Goal Library
  • Home Page Customization … see Settings – Home Page Customization
  • Manage Module Attachment Types … Manages grouping and permissions for People attaching files to a person’s Profile. See Module Settings – Managing Attachment Types.

 

Feedback Tool

This is a feedback and counseling tool to assist evaluators in the assessment and counseling process.

 

Deleting an Instance

  • To delete an Instance, as opposed to closing, click on the red “! Delete an existing Instance” link found at the bottom of the corresponding Module’s settings page.
  • Select from the list of Instances contained in the Module.
  • Click the red “Delete Instance” button.
  • You will be prompted to confirm the removal.

 

Note: Deleting an Instance will delete all data associated with the instance. This includes data such as: evaluations, roles, scores and descriptives. This operation cannot be undone.
