Module Homepage Dashboard

Dashboards can be created, based on homepage Summary badges. The badges act as a “dataset” for the dashboard widgets. Dashboards are available to anyone who can already see the badges. There are tabs across the top of the dashboard, to organize widgets in groups if desired. Adding a widget to the dashboard is fairly straightforward.

Adding Widgets

Below the badges, on the right side of the page, click on the pencil icon to toggle the dashboard to edit mode (it will change to a check icon). Then drag and drop a badge down into the dotted box. A popup will show the available widget types (the list depends on the options defined in the badge). Select one and click Next.

  • I want to see the proportion of people categorized by status … (pie chart) Creates a pie chart with the latest status for people in the selected Modules and Instances.
  • I want to compare statuses for a specified number of Instances … (bar chart) Counts people for each selected status for a specified number of Instances per Module. The bar graphs are organized by status.
  • I want to graph status for a specified number of Instances … (bar chart) Counts people for each selected status for a specified number of Instances per Module. The bar graphs are organized by Module/Instance.
  • I want to compare statuses for active and inactive Instances … (bar chart) Counts people for each selected status in active and the specified number of inactive Instances and shows the percentages of each status.
  • I want to compare scores for a specified number of Instances … (bar chart) Select a Mapped score and average or total for people within an Instance. Each bar graph is a score for a Role or Group within the Instance.
  • I want to see the trends in status for a specified number of Instances … (line chart) Looks at the daily status count trend for people in the specified number of Instances per Module. The line graphs are organized by status.
  • I want to see the top or bottom people for a score … (table) Select a Mapped score and view either the top or bottom x people with links to their profile.

Widget Settings

General Settings

  • Type … This confirms the selected type. Click the ‘Change’ button to change the widget type.
  • Title … Automatically populated by the widget type, but you can customize as needed.
  • Subtitle … The home page summary badge will be the default value, allowing the user to see which dataset the data comes from. If any of the data settings are customized, a (custom) tag will be added to the end of the subtitle with a tooltip spelling out the customizations
  • Columns … Determines how wide the displayed widget will be. Maximum of 3.

Data Filters

This section enables further filtering of the data, based on options/filters selected in the Summary badge. The available settings represent the full list of values that meet the criteria from the badge. For example, if the badge only shows people from Role 1, Role 2 and Role 3, then those are the roles you can choose from here.

  • Show people from the following roles … select one or more roles to filter the data
  • Show people with the following statuses … select one or more statuses  to filter the data
  • Show people from the following locations … select one or more locations to filter the data

Chart Settings

These settings will vary depending on the selected widget type.

  • Compare a single status across multiple locations … off by default.
  • How many historical Instances do you want to compare to? … Default is 10 (Max: 100)
  • Choose a point in time to compare statuses … This uses the Evaluation Auto Tag feature built into the scheduler. Auto Tags have start and end dates, and a selection here will use the start date as the reference for status comparisons.
  • Compare statuses to historical trends
  • Compare Status by Demographic Variable
  • Choose a score to graph … The dropdown includes scores selected in the associated badge (including any additional variables in the badge Dashboard Options).
  • Choose how to summarize the data … Average or Sum
  • Bar Chart Style … Individual Bars or Stacked Bars.
  • Starting Color … If there is more than one bar/line/pie slice, subsequent ones will follow the color chart.
