Report Item: Bar Chart

Displays a bar chart, with each bar representing a score variable.

General Options

  • Columns … Select how many columns (up to 4) are used for display.

Chart Options

  • Orientation … Set to vertical or horizontal.
  • Style
    • Individual Bars … with space between them and labels aligned with the bars.
    • Grouped Bars with Population Average
    • Individual Grouped Bar … displayed with no space between them, and an optional legend can display the labels
      • Display or hide a legend, and set its position.
    • Stacked Bars … Displays in a single stacked bar.
  • Size Mode … Auto or Custom (specify width and height, and all 4 margins).
  • Chart Title
  • Text to display when no data exists (optional)
  • Show Values … on by default.
  • Format values as time … off by default.
  • Value Label … Display or hide the Value labels (and customize the text).
  • Top Axis Value and Bottom Axis Value … Specify top and bottom axis values (if the highest bar value is greater, the scale will automatically change to that value).
  • Tick Count … Specify the number of tick marks (the interval is affected by the top axis value).
  • Custom Tick Labels … Display or hide the tick labels (and customize the text).
  • Show Grid Lines … off by default.
  • Show Empty Bars … off by default.
  • Variables … Score variables are selected and ordered by expanding the Variables panel. If you don’t see the score variable you wish to add, and want to create one, click Create New Variable. See Quick Variable Creator.
