These settings can be edited and saved at the Module or Instance level, but they only apply to the display of a person’s profile in a specific Instance.

The Status Edit/Display widget displays the person’s current status in the top section of a person’s profile. If the user viewing the profile has permission, this widget also allows the status to be changed and view the status history. (No configuration is needed)

Observations Graph

This widget displays a bar graph of positive, negative and neutral observations in the Instance Data/Insights section of a person’s profile.

  • If the system has been designed so the person could be the subject of an observation (Received) or the one recording observations (Given), a double arrow icon will be displayed which toggles between the two views.
  • (Optional) The graph can also be set to launch a report when clicked. The desired report is chosen from a drop down list.

Score or Rank

This widget displays the value (or custom text) of a score or rank variable as well as providing some basic conditional formatting rules, in the Instance Data section of a person’s profile. Displaying a score or rank variable on a person’s profile can highlight important performance data. You can also choose to only display this widget for people who are in certain roles (Note: Be mindful of who can/should see what data; not every bit of information should be seen by everyone). The widget will not display if the person does not have a score to view.

To add a new widget:

  • Click the +New button.
  • Select Score or Rank.
  • Variable … select a variable from the drop down list. If you don’t find the one you need, and would like to create a new variable, click the ‘Create New Variable’ button. See Quick Variable Creator
  • Label … enter a label to be displayed (by default, the variable name & label will be displayed)
  • (Optional) Viewable for Roles …  select one or more items, and only the profile of people assigned to the selected roles will display this widget. Otherwise, all people (with score/rank data) will display this widget.

Some other display checkboxes (all are optional):

  • Allow people to view their own score/rank … enables someone to see their own data.
  • Some additional score display options:
    • Display text instead of number
    • Display icon instead of number [see font-awesome]
    • Format score value as time … displays the value to a time format
    • (Score display option) Display Option … allows additional formatting options under Formatting Rules (below)
    • Number Format … this drop down specifies the number of decimal places to display (default setting is 0.0000)

Formatting Rules

You can set up additional rules for formatting displayed score values using color or custom text. A couple examples of rules you can set:

  • If a score is greater than or equal to 80, you can display it in green text that says “Pass”.
  • If the score value is less than 80, display a red thumbs down icon, using the font-awesome reference “fa-thumbs-down”.
