Time to Go Mobile!

The GideonSoft mobile app was completely redesigned and rebuilt, top to bottom!

• A Whole New Engine Under the Hood … To improve performance and security, we replaced & upgraded the mobile app platform completely.
• New Survey Design Options … We added the ability to display multiple questions per page, giving you more layout flexibility.
• Updated Look and Feel … We redesigned the UI for more intuitive (but familiar) user experience and updated the look & feel, including themes.

Making the Admin’s Job Easier

• More Powerful Search … Even within an Instance, you can perform a global search (with appropriate permissions of course). And, global searches now include Persistent Module profiles that don’t have a GideonSoft account.
• Stay in Sync … As part of the nightly maintenance process, GideonSoft now automatically syncs custom fields.
• More Straightforward Module Setup … One less step: Give it a name, select which type and off you go.
• Talk about a Power Grid … In the Instance People page, you can now easily add global profile and global custom fields. AND… you can edit field values directly in the grid!
• Levelled-Up Statuses … Managing Status Definitions just became much quicker and easier, with more information visible.

More Options for Report Design and Delivery

• More Data Source Options … ‘Roster’ is now available as a data source for the Detail Data Grid and Pivot Grid report items.
• More Date Range Options … We’ve added more choices to the Date Range parameter.
• More Subscription Target Options … Specify target objects for Custom Person report subscriptions.
• More Detail on Subscription Activity … On the “Activity – Reports” built in QA report, you can now see the configured subscriptions as well as the activity history.
• More Subscription Formatting Options … Don’t forget you can embed ‘pseudo HTML’ in the email body!

Other Miscellaneous Goodness

• Picture This … You can now attach images when recording observations in a web browser (just like in the mobile app).
• Allow Users to Edit Selected Fields for Themselves … At the org level, you can choose to allow self-viewing and self-editing on a field-by-field basis.
• Better Quality Assurance Reporting … All 25 built-in QA reports were updated and expanded. We were on a roll, so we even added a new Org report. (on Settings pages, look under ‘Activity and Configuration’)
• Updated File Attachment List … We fixed a minor typo regarding acceptable file types on attachment screens, such as Global profile, Instance profile, Persistent Module Activities or Attachments. (Nothing against ‘jpeg’ files; either .jpg or .jpeg could always be uploaded.)
• NEW! GideonSoft Support site Chatbot … When you sign in to Support.GideonSoft.com, a helpful chatbot can get you answers quickly. Look in the lower right part of the page and give it a try!
• Updated Persistent Module Insights … In Persistent Module settings, the Insights panel was updated with more pertinent data.
