A Home Makeover!

We redesigned the Home pages at the Org, Module, and Instance levels, improving performance and flexibility!

• Two ways to view a Home page at every level … and you can switch between them at any time:
  • My Profile, for a personalized, streamlined experience
  • Dashboard, for a more data-centric display
• Make it Yours … Every GideonSoft user can pin preferred views per Organization, Module, or Instance.
• Overlords are ‘In the Club’ … Overlords can now design Dashboards for their performance module.

More Insightful Reporting

We’ve integrated AI summarization in Reports and Dashboards, and these changes lay the foundation for more AI expansion in upcoming releases…

• Secure and Flexible … GideonSoft communicates via secure API, and is designed to support multiple providers, beginning with OpenAI (future GideonSoft versions will allow other 3rd party options). GideonSoft organization admins can change AI activation settings at any time.
• Customizable and Powerful … Configure prompts for your organization and choose a default model. Then designers can select a prompt and an output format (Brief Summary, Short Summary, Bulleted List, Detailed Paragraph) to add in Detail Data Charts and Comment reporting items.
• Responsive … When viewing AI generated content, viewers can provide feedback via a thumbs up (locks the current response) or thumbs down (regenerates results and allows for optional comments), or refresh (manually regenerated results).
• One More Thing … Module level reports can now be granted access to people by their Role.

An updated look and feel, and added functionality, make the Continual Progress Review process easier than ever!

• More Intuitive and Efficient UI for Managing Jobs and Positions … New gridbased display, and popup editing dialogs organized into logical sections streamline the process of working with the GideonSoft C.P.R.
• New Responsibility Type … Added a new Development responsibility type, alongside the existing Position and Other categories, to better capture growth-focused duties.
• Templates Are Your Friend … You can now easily copy Job Templates to speed up creation of similar Positions; and convert Positions that have been heavily customized into new Job Templates for reuse.
• A Redesigned Profile Position Page … Quickly find what you need, with an updated UI and less clutter.
• NEW 30-60-90 Day Appraisals … To strengthen onboarding and early performance evaluation. Admins can enable them for each Position, and scheduling dates is quick and easy. The 30- and 60-day Appraisals function similarly to current Appraisals (Self + Supervisor review), and then the 90-day Appraisal is sent only to the Supervisor, with structured ratings and an
  additional qualifying question to help guide decision making.
• Automated Initial Check-In … Five days after a Position is created (or a new Instance starts), a check-in event is scheduled to provide supervisors with a structured opportunity to review responsibilities and expectations with employees.

Persistent But Flexible

• Flexibility with Statuses … You can now change a person’s status right on the person’s Status History.
• Flexibility in Identifiers … When moving people from a Persistent Module to an Instance, you can now use the ‘Add People’ Review step (and use multiple
  source fields) to customize the person’s identifier and other details, before importing them.
• Flexibility in Labels … Rename “Unit” and “Category” to match your organization’s terminology.
• NEW Activity Approval Workflow … So you can better control and validate Activities before they are finalized and put into use. Only approved Activities are made available.

Other Miscellaneous Goodness

• Instances Roles can now have Tags … Tags can act as children of Roles, and be reused in assignments, surveys, observations, and reports.
• Optimized Descriptive Transformation Scores … They now require referenced descriptives to have the “Include in summaries” option turned on, which
  optimizes calculations.
• Improved Spreadsheet Handling … The design page now uses the familiar GideonSoft design grid to manage spreadsheets.
• Tightened up Persistent Module Reports … We cleaned up report types, items and options, and removed extraneous clutter. And we’re just getting started.
• Database Enhancements … All kinds of nerdy but cool updates and refinements to improve performance.
• Many Bug Fixes & Enhancements … We focused on addressing higher priority bugs to help improve reliability and user experience.
• Mobile App Survey Update … We increased the number of people you can complete a survey on at one time (from 5 to 15!).
