Once you’ve set up a report’s location and access options, next you’ll define content and display options.
File and parameter options
- SSRS Report Name … this is the report file name (without the .rdl), and must match exactly. Press <tab>, or click on ‘Report Parameters’.
- If the file name is incorrect or is not available, a message will display to notify you.
- Report Parameters
- If any parameters are available to customize this report, they will be listed. They may/may not all be required; check with your SSRS report designer to confirm.
- If no parameters are available, a message will be displayed to confirm.
- Click “Publish!” to save the report.
Preview
- Click the Preview tab to confirm that the report is set up correctly.
- If Profile Report is enabled, there will be a drop down to select the subject of the report.
- If any SSRS report parameter options were configured to be visible, they will be displayed. Make selections and click “View Report”.
- Otherwise, the report will display on this tab.
- You can return to Design mode by clicking the Designer tab or click “Edit Options” at the top left.
Removing a 3rd Party Report
From the “Report Designer” page, click the down arrow to the right of the target report, and click “Remove”. You will be prompted to confirm.
