Preparing for AI 

As part of GideonSoft 2025 Release 2, some new AI functionality will be available, at no extra cost, as part of our continuing roll out of AI integration. GideonSoft organization administrators must configure and enable a 3rd party provider, such as ChatGPT, in order for this functionality to be available. Have your provider’s API key ready (they may charge a fee); GideonSoft organization admins can change AI activation settings at any time.

How it Works

AI-focused features in GideonSoft can be configured to filter/organize data and provide formatting instructions, all of which is sent via secure API to the AI provider, which then attempts to process the request, and return a result to GideonSoft. This result (if available) is displayed, and the viewer can then provide feedback regarding the result. The displayed result and the viewer’s feedback are all that is stored in GideonSoft.

The following is important to understand when using AI:

  • AI can make mistakes. Review and verify responses for accuracy and appropriateness.
  • The data you submit and the responses you receive via GideonSoft are not used to train our model(s). 
  • GideonSoft does not instruct any AI services to train their model using your data. Confirm with your AI service provider whether or not your data is stored or used for training purposes.
  • If the GideonSoft AI provider is not available in your environment, contact GideonSoft support about getting a customized version tailored for your environment.
  • As of GideonSoft 2025 Release 2, functionality that can directly communicate with a 3rd party (for AI, AI-like or straightforward data exchange purposes) includes some report and dashboard items (Comment item, Detail Data Chart item, Decision Tree item) as well as Data Integrations.
