Module Label

Modules should be called: Module 

Default is Module. This is the label for Modules used throughout GideonSoft. Common labels include: Division, Branch, or Department. This name should reflect how your Organization is structured.

 

Instance Label

Instances should be called: Instance 

Default is Instance. This is the displayed label for Instances” throughout GideonSoft. Common labels include: Class, Season, or Semester.

 

Security Sign-in Message

Security Sign-in Message: _

This message will be displayed to users during the sign-in process; the person must agree (and be allowed to proceed), or disagree (and be prevented from sign in). To disable this feature, simply leave this blank.

 

Default Timezone

Default Timezone: Default / other available options:

This value will be the displayed text for the Support Ticket Server Address link on the sign in page.

 

Variable Data Calculation – Mode

The Variable Data Calculation Mode is: Automatic / Manual / Disabled.

Data are constantly being collected in the app. It’s often necessary to recalculate these data in order to provide near-real-time information to display in reports. This can be a server-intensive process so temporarily setting this to Manual or Disabled may speed up the app during peak use.

 

Variable Data Calculation – Schedule

When the Calculation Mode is set to Automatic, process the data every minute / hour / 4 hours / night and perform / do not perform a nightly full recalculation on active instances.

 

 

Automated Database Maintenance

Allow / Don’t Allow automated database maintenance.

Enabling automated database maintenance is recommended in non-cloud connected systems not managed by GideonSoft. The database gets re-indexed on a weekly basis.

 

Nightly Maintenance

Enable a nightly maintenance period for administrative tasks starting at 11:00 PM and lasting for 1 hour.

When enabled, all task queue and calculation operations will be paused. Data can still be collected and will get processed after the maintenance period ends.

 

Statistics Processing

When processing statistics, use the following values for calculating Suspect and Criminal statistics:

Suspect: Use System Default

When processing statistics, use the following values for calculating Suspect statistics. The system default is 0.5. If changing the defaults, the statistics won’t be updated until the next variable processing occurs.

Criminal: Use System Default

When processing statistics, use the following values for calculating Criminal statistics. The system default is 1.0. If changing the defaults, the statistics won’t be updated until the next variable processing occurs.

Quickly and easily open or close multiple Instances.

Manage the organization home page summary badges.

User Email Notifications

Users of this app should / should not be allowed to be sent email.

It is recommended that you allow people to provide their email address so they can be notified when new surveys or reports are created for them to review.

 

Welcome Email – Status

A welcome email should / should not  be sent when new users are added to GideonSoft.

 

Welcome Email – Message

When sending a welcome email, add a custom message of: _

This message will be displayed in the welcome email for new users.

 

Reset File Cache

This will clear the cached profile images. This should only be used when profile images get out of sync.

 

Run Database Maintenance

This will run the database maintenance procedure now instead of during the weekly scheduled job time.

 

Restart Job Scheduler

This will restart the job scheduler. This should only be used when Task Queue or Calculation options stop running.
