If you need to assess something other than a person (e.g. provide feedback on an Instance or facility, or a group of people as a whole) then you can create or edit those objects here.
- Once an Instance object has been created, surveys can be created with an object as the subject.
- Objects can have profile images, in order to distinguish them from one another on the Instance home page and within the profile page object list. Objects share profile images with others within the same module. Administrators can upload the profile images via the objects profile page.
Any existing Instance objects will be displayed, along with Identifiers, Assigned Roles and last modified details.
Filter and sort the list and customize the display:
- Type in the Search field (toward the top right).
- Arrange and resize columns (drag and drop).
- Use the ‘Column Chooser’ icon at the top of the table to choose which columns to see. The only required column to show is Identifier, which is on the left in a fixed format. This allows you to scroll horizontally and still see the Identifier.
- Use the ‘Toggle column search’ icon, and search/filter by column.
- Use the ‘Toggle grouping panel’ icon, and then drag and drop one or more column headers to group items in the list.
To create an Instance object, click the green ‘+ New Object’ button, and enter a name. You can also assign the object to one or more roles so that the object shows up in evaluations with a target of that role.
To edit an existing object, click on the Identifier, or choose Edit from the action drop down on the right.
To delete an object, choose Delete from the action drop down on the right. You will be prompted to confirm.
Note: GideonSoft automatically creates another type of object. Whenever a Role or Team is created, an object is created to enable evaluation of the Role or Team as a unit. Surveys can also be configured to copy evaluations of the Role or Team object to the assigned people in that Role or Team.
